AUSTRALIAN MODEL RAILWAY ASSOCIATION - VICTORIAN BRANCH
We are the Victorian Branch of the national non-profit Association with over 1,000 members that was founded in Melbourne on 18 May 1951. The Victorian Branch was formed on 28 February 1953. In September 1971 the double storey ex- RSL premises at 92 Wills Street, Glen Iris was purchased for our Clubrooms and in April 1983 the ground floor was extended by the construction of an annex in which to store our exhibition layouts and equipment. The Victorian branch became an Incorporated Association on 10 June 1988 and currently has more than 240 members.
The club currently has two permanent operating layouts; the Stonnington Valley Railway (HO Scale) and the Outer Circle Garden Railway (Large Scale), along with two exhibition layouts; Maryborough (HO Scale) and Murri (HO Scale).
